Request and compare quotations, negotiate rates, delivery timelines, and payment terms. Develop alternate vendor sources to reduce dependency and improve cost competitiveness. 2. Purchase Order Management: Issue purchase orders in line with approved requisitions. Track and follow up with vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and documentation. Maintain accurate PO documentation and adhere to procurement SOPs. 3. Inventory & Material Coordination: Coordinate closely with stores and R&D teams to ensure accurate stock levels. Resolve material shortages, delays, and discrepancies proactively. Support periodic inventory audits for purchased materials. 4. Compliance & Documentation: Ensure adherence to regulatory, quality, and safety requirements for all purchases. Manage vendor qualification documents, MSDS, COA/COO, and other regulatory paperwork. Maintain database of approved vendors and purchase records as per audit standards. 5. Cost Control & Vendor Management: Monitor market trends and pricing of chemicals and lab consumables. Build strong vendor relationships to ensure consistent quality and service. Evaluate supplier performance and recommend improvements. Skills & Competencies: Strong negotiation and communication skills. Knowledge of pharma procurement, especially R&D lab materials. Familiarity with GST, import documentation (if applicable), and basic commercial terms. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems. Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
