As a Product Designer, your primary responsibility will be to design and develop luxury tableware, crockery, and homeware products. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will work towards creating products that are not only visually appealing but also functional, durable, and in line with our brand's high standards. Your tasks will involve the entire design process, from concept ideation to the final prototype, focusing on aspects such as sizes, materials, color matching, and overall product experience. You will lead the design process for new tableware and homeware collections, ensuring that they meet the luxury standards of the brand. This involves creating initial concepts, refining designs, and preparing them for production. Sizing for dinnerware and homeware items will be a crucial aspect of your role, requiring an understanding of how variations affect functionality and aesthetics while maintaining consistency. Conducting thorough research on materials like fine porcelain, bone china, glass, and metal will be essential to ensure they meet quality and aesthetic standards. Working closely with the production team, you will achieve perfect color matching and finishes across various pieces. Your role will also involve developing initial design concepts aligned with the brand's vision, refining them through feedback and testing, and overseeing the creation of prototypes. Acting as a liaison between design and production teams, you will ensure that designs are accurately translated into high-quality, mass-produced items. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining a cohesive design, size, and material choices across collections. Additionally, you should have a comprehensive understanding of different product models and their specifications to ensure adaptability while upholding quality and luxury appeal. To qualify for this role, you should have a minimum of 4 years of experience in product design, preferably in luxury homeware, tableware, or crockery. A strong portfolio showcasing design sensibility, creativity, technical skills, and proficiency in design software is required. Knowledge of luxury materials, strong communication skills, and the ability to troubleshoot design issues are essential. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Industrial Design or related field, experience in luxury brands or high-end homeware industry, familiarity with sustainability aspects, and an understanding of global design trends.
