Job Description

A seasoned technical expert with deep domain knowledge in telecom and cloud controller deployments (FWAC/SDAN/NSP/Cortaca), across bare metal and virtual/cloud environments. Skilled in developing implementation plans, design documentation, and test strategies, while applying Systems Integration processes. Experienced in customer consultations, requirement analysis, and feasibility studies. Proficient in Linux/Unix, hypervisors, cloud platforms, IP networking, and software development. Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams and contributes to knowledge sharing and process improvement. Acts as a trusted advisor and mentor, often leading small projects and resolving complex issues using advanced analytical and business insights.

How You Will Contribute And What You Will Learn

  • Provide expert consultation for deploying cloud controllers (FWAC/SDAN/NSP/Cortaca) across bare metal, virtual, and cloud environments, including upgrades, migrations, and installations (onsite/remotely).
  • Capture customer and project requirements to author high-level and low-level design documents, customized deployment plans, migration strategies, and operational documentation.
  • Create detailed Method of Procedures (MoP), design-build documentation (LLD), implementation guides, and Acceptance Test Plans (ATP) tailored to project needs.
  • Define acceptance test strategies, develop test cases and plans, and validate configurations or migration strategies through lab staging or customer site demonstrations.
  • Work closely with PLM, Support, NPI, Integration engineers, and Technical Designers to manage solution issues, product evolution, and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Conduct requirement analysis, set expectations, and deliver consultation workshops to enhance customer understanding and experience with the product.
  • Maintain and update NSP design materials and templates, contribute to best practices, and share knowledge via platforms like SharePoint, Yammer, and internal forums.
  • Support global services tendering teams in evaluating professional services requests and be available for short-duration travel to customer premises (typically 1 week).

Key Skills And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Telecom, or Software Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience in Telecom or Software companies, with consulting and professional services exposure.
  • Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix systems (Solaris, Red Hat, CentOS) and hypervisor technologies (KVM, ESXi).
  • Solid understanding of cloud platforms and concepts including Kubernetes, OpenShift, AWS, and GCP.
  • Deep knowledge of IP networking and protocols such as IPv4/IPv6, BGP, MPLS, OSPF, QoS, and VPN technologies.
  • Experience in software development and integration using Java, Python, Perl, C++, JMS, RESTful APIs, and tools like Kafka, Keycloak, MongoDB, Grafana.
  • Familiarity with Network Management protocols (NETCONF, YANG, SNMP, OpenFlow) and SDN/NFV concepts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, with a proactive and adaptable mindset for dynamic environments.
