Systems Engineer - MES

As a Systems Engineer MES at our EV battery manufacturing facility in Sanand, India, you will be instrumental in optimizing IT solutions that drive manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure seamless connectivity between production lines, quality control systems, and enterprise applications, thus enhancing efficiency, minimizing downtime, and ensuring compliance with industry standards. This role presents a unique opportunity to merge technology and manufacturing, fostering innovation and performance improvements in battery production. Your key responsibilities will include configuring Dassault Delmia Apriso MES for battery manufacturing workflows, actively participating in MES solution design, development, implementation, support, and maintenance. Collaborating with IT solution architects, you will translate business requirements into MOM capabilities and play a pivotal role in enhancing MES-driven operations. Additionally, you will oversee the seamless integration of MES with OT systems such as SCADA, WCS, Automation, IoT, and IT systems like ERP, PLM, LIMS, QMS, WMS for real-time data flow. Your technical abilities will be put to the test as you provide expertise in development, testing, and cross-functional team engagement. You will troubleshoot and resolve MES-related issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will also be responsible for updating and maintaining comprehensive functional and technical design documentation, as well as documenting data workflows between manufacturing systems and enterprise applications. To excel in this role, you should possess at least 6-12 months of experience with MES solutions, demonstrated proficiency in configuring MES and integrating it with ERP, PLM, WMS & OT systems. Strong programming skills in C# and SQL databases are essential, along with experience in ISA-95 & ISA-88 standards for seamless system integration. A minimum of 3 years of MES experience in battery, semi-conductor, life sciences, pharma, or biotech industries is preferred, along with project management expertise in MES implementation and equipment interface commissioning. The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors/Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with 3+ years of industry experience, preferably in battery giga factories, semi-conductor, pharma, or biotech. Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills are crucial for successful business-IT alignment. You should be prepared to work onsite in Sanand, Gujarat, within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
