System Integration Lead

Role Overview: The Infotainment platforms unit at BMW is responsible for developing, maintaining, and deploying the BMW infotainment platform, which is a Linux-based SW platform that provides common automotive functions for multiple automotive ECUs. The unit also handles cross-cutting concerns such as architecture, security, stability, and performance. The platform is deployed into various infotainment domain ECUs, including headunits, rear seat entertainment systems, telematics, and audio ECUs. As a system integration lead, you will play a crucial role in managing the integration process for software components in ECU projects. Key Responsibilities: - Actively drive the integration process for software components in the ECU project, ensuring on-time delivery and quality. - Collaborate closely with developers, project managers, domain project leads, and other stakeholders to deliver the overall ECU software package aligned with the project's integration plan. - Plan, organize, and coordinate integration requests from various domains and manage a team of integrators. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful software and system integration, including hardware, software, testing, and quality assurance. - Manage suppliers by interacting, planning tasks, and leading software and system integration planning, including the development of integration plans, schedules, and resource allocation. - Troubleshoot complex integration issues and provide technical guidance to resolve them. Qualification Required: - Business fluent in English. - University degree in Computer Science or a related field. - Several years of professional experience in embedded software integration in the automotive industry, preferably with infotainment systems. - Ability to break down complex problems with a systematic and pragmatic approach. - Profound knowledge of software integration methods, tools, and processes including software versioning, releasing, and continuous integration. - Experience in leading integration teams, excellent communication and teamwork skills, familiarity with embedded development tools, and environments. - Strong technical background in software development, system architecture, or embedded systems. - Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
