Job Description IT Support Specialist So what does an IT Support Specialist do Think of yourself as someone who provides assistance and technical support to the business and to team members who are experiencing technical, hardware, or software issues. You are the go-to person for first level technical support for internal customers - to provide resolutions to technical concerns which will result in minimal recurring issues. As you tackle your new tasks for the day, you know that it will lead to one thing: you will ensure quality service in accordance with departmental standards and guidelines, and provide positive customer service orientation resulting in high customer satisfaction ratings. As an IT Support Specialist , you will: Respond to telephone calls and email messages from users requesting assistance. Log and maintain records of customer/employee queries. Interpret problems and analyze possible causes of hardware and software failures. Identify malfunctions in computer hardware, software, and telecommunications, and take appropriate action to resolve them while ensuring data and system integrity. Conduct tests, configure, install, modify, maintain, and repair computer hardware, operating systems, applications, software patches, and updates as needed. Assist in user application testing during program implementation, migration, and system maintenance. Perform desktop system maintenance and upgrades, including installing OS patches. Create and maintain documentation for instructional procedures such as hardware/software installation. Document and maintain knowledge-based troubleshooting techniques. Maintain an inventory of company-owned computer hardware assets, peripherals, and software licenses. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance of computer systems. Troubleshoot and resolve domain-related issues effectively. Troubleshoot LAN and network-related issues. Join priority calls and actively coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve critical incidents. Provide accurate and timely system, network, and server details to support resolution efforts. Minimize downtime by ensuring prompt issue resolution and coordination with relevant teams. Handle system imaging for deployment and re-deployment. Manage onboarding and offboarding of employees and associated IT assets. Be flexible to work in 24x7 shifts and extend working hours when needed to support business continuity. Do you have what it takes to become an IT Support Specialist Requirements: At least 2-3 years of minimum experience and a Bachelor's Degree in ECE, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or any IT / Computer-related course. Knowledge of I.T. systems and equipment as well as their installation, configuration, maintenance, and repair has vast working knowledge of I.T. requirements/demands in call center operations and corporate organizations - particularly in the area of Operations support We need someone with above-average problem-solving, decision-making, and analytical skills Big plus if you are a skilled technical writer - able to document problems and solutions for customers and other technical support personnel. You have good time and project management skill Excellent English communication skills - both spoken and written You are adaptive to changing work schedules and working hours excellent customer orientation and interpersonal, customer care skills. We're seeking an onsite Service Desk Level 1 Analyst to join our team in Ahmedabad! In this role, you'll be the first line of support for our users, ensuring the timely resolution of technical issues and delivering exceptional service. You'll handle everything from password resets to workstation setups, while also playing a key role in maintaining system security and efficiency. The location for this role is onsite daily in Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380058, with a shift from Monday to Friday, 12 PM - 9 PM IST. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor the support queue to ensure timely responses and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs). - Provide Level 1 support for common issues such as password resets (Active Directory, third-party software, voicemail PINs), user account provisioning and deactivation, and workstation setups for new hires. - Deliver Level 1 and Level 2 troubleshooting and support for desktops and laptops. - Collaborate with third-party vendors for deployment and support as needed. - Apply security best practices and work with security teams to minimize vulnerabilities. - Maintain compliance with all SLAs, policies, and procedures. - Exercise sound judgment in handling client requests and feedback. - Build trust and credibility with internal clients by understanding their needs and delivering effective solutions. - Identify opportunities to improve communication, efficiency, and customer satisfaction. - Contribute to team initiatives and cross-functional projects. - Create and maintain documentation and training materials. - Participate in after-hours on-call support as required. - Perform other duties as assigned.
