The ROLE We predominantly deliver data migration projects to global clients, while also working in data quality and data governance. All our consultants use software created on our proprietary ADM/ADMM platform to perform all aspects of the data migration project lifecycle. [ This role has been designated as a remote position allowing qualified talent throughout the listed country to be considered for the opportunity.] WHAT YOU WILL DO After an initial training period, a Data Migration Consultant will be expected to: Demonstrate a strong understanding of Synitis Data Migration / Data Governance methodology Demonstrate strong proficiency in Syniti’s tools, working to prescribed development standards Good understanding of business processes for assigned functional area Demonstrate a strong knowledge of underlying technical data structures and definitions of assigned functional process area Develop data migration / governance rules in Syniti’s tools as per supplied specification Contribute to integrated data migration design for assigned process area through data analysis, reporting and collaboration with on-site BOA and client colleagues Design, create and execute reports in alignment to project deliverables Create and maintain data load programs Maintain related documentation Execution of end-to-end data loads and reconciliations Support and mentor junior colleagues WHAT IT TAKES Degree level qualification in Computer Science (or other technology related field) Experience in ETL / Data Migration / Data Quality / Data Analysis Functional ERP (SAP / Infor etc.) experience Project experience across multiple ERP implementations Experience with SQL Database experience - SQL Server, Oracle etc. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills Proficient in MS Office Willingness to travel according to project requirements Be fully aligned to the core values of our organization which are: Think Big - Be courageous and bold. As a Senior ETL Data Migration Analyst at Emerson, you will play a pivotal role in the ERP Transformation Services team by taking ownership of designing, developing, and executing enterprise-wide data migration activities. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the success of global ERP implementations, particularly Oracle EBS and SAP ECC, by implementing consistent, auditable, and high-quality data migration processes using industry-standard tools and frameworks. In this role, your responsibilities will include: - Pre-Go-Live Planning & Development: Designing and implementing global data migration strategies, developing ETL processes, collaborating with legacy system teams, and ensuring data auditability and traceability. - Go-Live & Cutover Execution: Supporting mock loads, cutover rehearsals, and production data loads, monitoring data load progress, and maintaining a clear log of data migration actions. - Post-Go-Live Support & Stewardship: Monitoring data creation and updates post go-live, providing data extract/load services, and contributing to legacy data archiving strategies. - Tools, Documentation & Collaboration: Maintaining documentation of ETL procedures, collaborating with implementation teams, and contributing to the development of ETL frameworks and reusable components. You are someone who demonstrates initiative in challenging situations, possesses strong analytical and problem-solving skills, is self-motivated, and proactive in learning and applying new technologies. Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for working effectively across global teams. To be successful in this role, you will need: - 12+ years of IT experience with a focus on ETL, data management, and ERP data migration. - Strong hands-on experience with Oracle EBS or SAP ECC implementations. - Proficiency in Syniti DSP, Informatica, Talend, or similar enterprise ETL tools. - Proficient SQL skills and the ability to optimize queries for large datasets. - A background in MCA / BE / BSC - Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or Business Administration. - Application development experience in .NET, ABAP, or scripting languages. - Knowledge of data migration implementations and data modeling principles. - Familiarity with project management methodologies such as Agile, PMP, etc. Your performance will be measured based on the successful execution of data migration cutovers, complete data traceability and audit compliance, timely delivery of ETL solutions, and continuous improvement of ETL frameworks and standard processes.
