Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Clerk to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of basic accounting principles, proficiency in accounting software, and a keen eye for accuracy. This role is integral to the daily financial operations of the company, including bookkeeping, invoicing, reconciliation, and reporting support. Key Responsibilities General Accounting Record and process daily financial transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, in the accounting system. Maintain accurate and organized financial recordsboth physical and digitalfor audit and compliance purposes. Reconcile bank and credit card statements with the general ledger and resolve discrepancies promptly. Assist with the preparation of monthly financial statements, trial balances, and management reports. Support payroll processing by verifying employee timesheets and related information. Accounts Receivable Create and send client invoices accurately and on schedule through electronic payment systems. Record and track all incoming payments and prepare aging reports. Download revenue reports from third-party platforms and ensure accurate posting. Communicate with customers regarding payment issues and billing discrepancies. Accounts Payable Enter vendor invoices, process payments, and maintain vendor records. Review and reconcile monthly AP ledgers and prepare aging reports. Process and reconcile credit card expense transactions. Assist in the preparation of year-end 1099 vendor reports. Compliance and Reporting Compile data for statutory filings such as GST, TDS, and other returns (where applicable). Assist in internal audits by preparing required schedules and documentation. Support the preparation of comparative financial analyses, reconciliations (cash, investments, accruals, fixed assets, etc.), and monthly reporting packages. Administrative and Support Duties Perform general administrative duties within the accounting department, such as filing, scanning, and organizing records. Provide troubleshooting and problem-resolution support to clients or internal teams. Uphold confidentiality and integrity of all financial information. Qualifications and Skills Education Bachelors or Associates degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred). Experience 2-4 years of experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or clerical finance roles preferred. Hands-on experience with accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks Online. Technical Proficiency Strong knowledge of MS Excel and familiarity with other Microsoft Office applications. Working knowledge of accounting principles, GST/TDS returns, and financial reconciliation. Strong understanding of SEO , content structuring, and digital content distribution strategies. Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp). Ability to interpret and act on marketing data and KPIs to optimize performance. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accuracy. Highly organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
