Your role will be to support daily operations tasks and may require supporting operational deliverables for new infrastructure or migrating the existing network components. You will collaborate with a number of different IT Support and Delivery Teams on a daily basis. It will require networking and network security skills. Specific assignments include: - Maintaining current IT User Zones and IT Application Availability Groups network infrastructure - Designing, planning, and implementing network IT Infrastructure for Transformation/Integration/Segregation throughout Food and Environment testing businesses across Europe - Proposing and delivering solutions that best meet the business needs in terms of security, cost, and bandwidth - Working closely with Server, Cloud, and Application team members to deliver the IT Infrastructure as a wider project - Documenting the solutions delivered and helping to transition the service to regional teams in the final stage of the project The ideal candidate should have strong 0-4+ years of overall experience and 0-2+ years of relevant experience in the following areas: - CCNA certified. CCNP and/or CCIE certification is a plus - Experience with LAN/WAN/MPLS/SDWAN network infrastructure design and implementation at an enterprise level - Knowledge of protocols like DNS, DHCP, NTP, HTTP, BGP, OSPF, PKI, Certificates, etc. - Cisco-based routing and switching - Knowledge of protocols: IP, SNMP, SMTP, OSPF, BGP, VLAN - ACLs/Static routing/QoS - Switch stacking - STP/SPAN/RSPAN/Switch Virtualization/VSS - VLAN/Private-VLAN/Inter-VLAN Routing/VLAN Migration/Trunks - Switch Security - Storm-Control/VLAN Hopping/DHCP Snooping - Gateway Redundancy VRRP/HSRP/GLBP - Managing wireless infrastructure through Meraki/Aruba/Aero Hive, etc. - Well-versed with the ITIL framework - Network monitoring - Managing tickets handling and maintaining CMDB through Service Now Good to have additional skills include experience with complex network migrations, Next Generation Firewalls (Checkpoint, Palo Alto, and FortiGate), Fortinet packet flow and architecture knowledge, Data centre network experience, VOIP, Network Load Balancing/Application Load Balancer, VPN (ideally Pulse Secure), and Cloud Networking. As a Cisco Network Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting Cisco architecture, ensuring seamless integration and high performance across the network. Your expertise in Cisco routing and switching, including advanced troubleshooting techniques, will be vital in maintaining network efficiency. You will implement and manage traffic diversion strategies to optimize network performance and apply expert-level understanding of packet shaper technologies. Additionally, you will configure Access Control Lists (ACL) for port openings on branch routers to ensure secure and efficient traffic flow. Your strong hands-on experience with routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP, as well as Nexus switches and Cisco ACI, will play a key role in network maintenance. You will exhibit expert understanding of MPLS and Internet Leased Line (ILL) networks and configure VLANs, VXLANs, HSRP, IP SLA, GRE, VPN tunnels, and more. Managing Port-Channel configurations and switch stacking for network resilience, troubleshooting configuration issues in Nexus and ACI, and possessing knowledge of SD-WAN solutions will be part of your responsibilities. You should have a foundational understanding of firewalls and other security products and manage IP schema across different zones to ensure organized and efficient IP allocation. Moreover, you will handle escalated calls from the L3 team, understand NOC processes, efficiently manage Priority 1 incidents, ensure compliance with industry standards, and design network architectures that align with enterprise operational needs. Your minimum 8 years of experience in networking, focusing on Cisco technologies, along with relevant certifications such as CCIE Data Center or Routing & Switching, will be required for this role. Your strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team will be essential for success in this position.,
