As a Swimming Instructor, your primary responsibility will be to teach swimming techniques and water safety to individuals or groups with varying skill levels, from beginners to advanced swimmers. You will be developing and implementing lesson plans tailored to different ages and proficiency levels. Your role involves breaking down complex swimming strokes into manageable steps for beginners and gradually increasing difficulty as students progress. Clear demonstrations and corrections of students" techniques will be crucial in helping them improve. Ensuring the safety of all students during swim lessons by adhering to pool safety guidelines is paramount. You will be closely monitoring swimmers and responding promptly to any signs of distress or unsafe behavior. Conducting safety briefings and educating swimmers on proper pool conduct and water safety protocols are also part of your duties. In the event of an emergency, you should be prepared to perform rescues and administer first aid or CPR if necessary. Planning and organizing engaging and effective swim lessons that build skills and confidence in the water will be essential. Your classes should be age-appropriate and cater to the individual needs of swimmers within group settings. Assessing and tracking the progress of each swimmer, providing constructive feedback, and highlighting areas for improvement are vital aspects of your role. You will communicate progress reports to students or parents and maintain a positive and respectful environment during lessons. Managing group dynamics, encouraging teamwork, and ensuring all equipment is in good condition are also part of your responsibilities. Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the pool area, regularly communicating with parents, and offering guidance on how they can support their child's learning outside of lessons are important tasks. Staying updated on the latest swimming techniques, teaching methods, and water safety standards is essential. Attending training sessions to enhance your teaching skills and certifications will be encouraged. Your professionalism, dedication to promoting values, and maintaining high instructional standards will be crucial in representing the organization positively. Engaging with students and parents to ensure a positive experience and uphold the swim program's reputation are key objectives. This is a full-time position with benefits including health insurance and Provident Fund. The work schedule may require evening shifts, morning shifts, and weekend availability.
