Sustainability Business Analyst

Role Overview: As a Sustainability Business Analyst at Deutsche Bank, you will be part of the Sustainability Data and Technology Program, a bank-wide initiative aimed at delivering a strategic solution for Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) data. Your role will involve reviewing business use cases, gathering requirements, defining implementation steps, and creating user stories. You will collaborate closely with stakeholders, product owners, and development teams to ensure that business needs align with technical quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Define, agree, and socialize requirements for ESG data sourcing and transformation for the Consumer base within the bank. - Collaborate with architects and engineers to ensure the realization of both functional and non-functional requirements in alignment with the architecture strategy. - Analyze complex datasets to derive insights supporting requirement definition and data profiling. - Document business requirements in tools such as JIRA and Confluence, and define acceptance criteria for user acceptance testing. - Review user stories and test cases based on business requirements, supporting defect management. - Act as a point of contact for development teams for business requirement clarifications. - Design data mapping to transform source system data for consumption by other business areas within the bank. - Support the conceptualization of new business solution options, articulating impacts and risks. - Monitor and track issues, risks, and dependencies related to analysis and requirements work. Qualification Required: - 4+ years of business analyst experience in the Banking Industry with a strong understanding of core business processes, systems, and data flows. - Experience in specifying ETL processes within data projects and large system implementation projects across multiple business units and geographies. - Proficiency in business analysis methods, requirements management, and UAT practices. - Strong communication, problem-solving, and analysis skills. - Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies, systems delivery lifecycles, and data architectures. - Ability to work collaboratively in virtual teams, prioritize tasks, and adapt to a fast-paced environment. - Expertise in Microsoft Office applications and querying large datasets using SQL, Hue, Impala, Python. - Desirable skills include understanding of ESG reporting and knowledge of ESG data vendors.
