The ideal candidate should bring deep domain expertise in solar manufacturing, with a proven track record of progressing from maintenance or process engineering to leading large-scale, fully automated production facilities. Prior experience with Mondragon Automation & Technology or similar fully automated module manufacturing lines in India is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Lead end-to-end manufacturing operations for solar cell production, ensuring efficiency, quality, and cost optimization. Plan and execute production schedules, oversee equipment maintenance, and drive engineering enhancements. Champion continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, and process automation. Ensure strict adherence to safety, quality, environmental, and industry compliance standards. Build, mentor, and lead cross-functional teams across production, engineering, quality, process, and maintenance departments. Collaborate with R&D, Supply Chain, and Project Teams to ensure smooth product launches and process transitions. Manage manufacturing budgets, capital expenditures, and capacity expansion planning. Lead plant layout design, technology modernization, and operational excellence initiatives. Optimize performance using metrics like OEE, TPM, Six Sigma, and other best-in-class methodologies. Drive digital transformation and Industry 4.0 initiatives for smart factory operations. Maintain a thorough understanding of the Bill of Materials (BOM) and all raw material specifications relevant to the solar industry. Required Skills & Experience: 410 years of progressive experience solar cell manufacturing, with a foundation in maintenance or process engineering. Proven leadership in managing fully automated manufacturing lines (e.g., Mondragon or similar platforms). Hands-on experience with PV module production technologies, equipment, and automation systems. Strong background in team management, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic planning. Solid understanding of global manufacturing and quality standards (ISO, Six Sigma, Lean). Proactive mindset with a strong drive for innovation, efficiency, and technology adoption. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or Industrial Engineering (Master's degree preferred). Professional certifications in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TPM, or equivalent. Experience with MES, ERP systems, and smart factory tools.
