Key Responsibilities - Perform complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries. - Conduct pre-operative assessments and formulate surgical plans. - Collaborate with cardiologists and other specialists for comprehensive care. - Lead surgical teams during procedures and ensure adherence to protocols. - Monitor post-operative recovery and manage complications as needed. - Educate patients and their families about surgical options and recovery processes. - Participate in research initiatives and clinical trials to advance methodologies. - Provide mentorship and training to surgical residents and fellows. - Collaborate in multidisciplinary case discussions to enhance patient outcomes. - Maintain accurate surgical records and documentation in compliance with regulations. - Attend and contribute to surgical rounds and departmental meetings. - Stay updated on advancements in cardiovascular surgery techniques. - Implement best practices for infection control and patient safety. - Engage with community stakeholders to promote cardiovascular health awareness. - Contribute to hospital policy development regarding surgical protocols. Required Qualifications - Doctor of Medicine (MD) or equivalent degree. - Completion of an accredited residency in General Surgery. - Fellowship training in Cardiothoracic or Congenital Heart Surgery. - Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery. - 5+ years of clinical experience in cardiovascular surgery. - Proficient in robotic surgical techniques and minimally invasive procedures. - Track record of successful patient outcomes in complex surgeries. - Strong understanding of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team setting. - Commitment to ongoing professional development and education. - Familiarity with electronic health record systems. - Demonstrated ability to conduct clinical research. - Experience in teaching medical students and surgical trainees. - Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state.,
