Director of Product Management – Fulfillment Platform About Flipkart’s Fulfillment Services Group (FSG) Flipkart’s Fulfillment Services Group is the backbone of customer trust. We ensure that every order placed on Flipkart — from the promise at checkout to safe delivery — is reliable, predictable, and scalable. This means orchestrating millions of daily orders across a vast network of warehouses, logistics facilities, and transportation systems, while adapting to the unique complexity of Indian commerce. FSG is organized into three core product teams: FSE (Fulfillment Services Engineering): Driving customer promise accuracy and intelligent network orchestration. ASSETS: Owning warehouse operations management platforms that power efficiency, throughput, and reliability across our nationwide facility network. CL (Core Logistics): Building and scaling middle- and last-mile operations management platforms to ensure fast, cost-effective, and trustworthy delivery. Our ambition is to build the next generation of fulfillment platforms (Fulfillment 2.0) — creating a unified platform adaptable across hyperlocal, grocery, traditional e-commerce, and large-format supply chains enabling AI-powered, real-time multi-objective decisioning driving operational excellence at scale with consistency and quality in every order experience. This is a significant challenge, as Flipkart is already the market leader in India with the lowest cost, highest reliability, and the ability to manage the most complex fulfillment mix. Role Overview We are seeking a Director of Product Management – Fulfillment Platform to define and drive the evolution of core fulfillment capabilities. This is a senior individual contributor role focused on shaping product strategy and platform vision to secure Flipkart’s long-term competitive edge. We are embarking on a multu-year effort to dramatically reimagine our platform, its capabilities and lay the foundation for the next several years of growth. The Director will take on the most complex, high-stakes decisions around customer promise, warehouse operations management, core logistics networks, commitment frameworks, network orchestration, and reliability at scale. This role is designed for a leader who thrives on solving foundational challenges hands-on — shaping platform strategy, driving clarity across senior stakeholders, and making decisions that define the backbone of Flipkart’s fulfillment systems. Key Responsibilities Platform Vision & Strategy Define long-term vision and roadmap for fulfillment platforms spanning customer promise, warehouse operations, core logistics, commitment frameworks, orchestration, and reliability at scale. Anticipate future growth and design systems that balance today’s needs with tomorrow’s scale. Strategic Outcomes Drive faster innovation cycles, improve customer trust metrics, and strengthen Flipkart’s differentiation in hyperlocal, grocery, and large-format fulfillment. Set clear priorities to unify platforms and establish the foundation for AI-driven decisioning within the first 12–18 months. High-Stakes Decision Making Own the most complex decisions in fulfillment — spanning logistics networks, warehouse systems, promise accuracy models, and intelligent orchestration frameworks — ensuring reliability without slowing innovation. Create clarity in ambiguous problem spaces and influence direction at the highest levels. Cross-Functional Influence & Scale Partner with engineering and operations to bring strategy into execution. Align and influence senior stakeholders across supply chain, logistics, data science, and business teams. Serve as the voice of fulfillment platform strategy in leadership forums. Risk Taking and Innovation Proactively seeks and applies cutting-edge insights, including advancements in science and technology, to fuel innovative and out-of-the-box ideas. Leverages these insights with a bold appetite for risk-taking to redefine industry standards and unlock transformative opportunities. Ideal Candidate Profile Experience: 12–18 years in product management, with deep focus on fulfillment/supply chain/logistics platforms in large, mature organizations (Amazon, SAP, Walmart, etc.). Must have operated at global scale, navigating worldwide complexity and translating global best practices into context-specific solutions for India. Strategic Depth: Proven ability to own product strategy and platform vision, making high-complexity product decisions that have enterprise-wide impact. Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of distributed systems, orchestration engines, APIs, and large-scale data-driven decisioning. Leadership Style: Ability to influence senior stakeholders, drive clarity, and set direction — thriving as a senior IC without needing people management as a lever. Mindset: Customer-obsessed, structured, and transformation-oriented. Why Join Us Opportunity to set product strategy and platform vision for the backbone of Flipkart’s fulfillment systems. Take on uniquely complex and high-leverage product challenges in Indian commerce, spanning hyperlocal, grocery, and traditional e-commerce at massive scale.
