Overview We are looking for a passionate and innovative R&D Chemist with experience in coatings formulation and development. The role involves designing, testing, and optimizing advanced coating systems across construction, paints, and textiles, with a strong focus on silicone-based technologies. The candidate will contribute to new product development, process improvements, and application testing to support our innovation pipeline. Key Responsibilities Develop, test, and optimize coating formulations for construction, paints, and textile applications. Conduct research on silicone-based coating technologies and integrate them into product development. Perform laboratory experiments, raw material evaluations, and application testing. Collaborate with the production team to scale up formulations from lab to pilot to full-scale manufacturing. Maintain detailed documentation of formulations, experiments, and results. Stay updated with new raw materials, technologies, and industry trends to drive innovation. Work closely with cross-functional teams (Sales, Manufacturing, Quality) for technical support and product improvements. Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards in all lab activities Skills & Competencies Strong understanding of polymer chemistry, surface coatings, and formulation science. Hands-on experience with raw materials, additives, and coating performance testing. Knowledge of construction coatings, paints, or textile finishes is preferred. Familiarity with silicone chemistry and applications in coatings is a plus. Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and documentation skills. Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment. Qualification M.Sc. / B.Sc. in Chemistry (Polymer Chemistry, Surface Coating, or related specialization preferred). 2 to 5 years of experience in coatings R&D / formulation (fresher with relevant projects may also be considered).
