Job Description: As a Senior Engineer in the Support - SMS - Process - Steel department, you will be responsible for overseeing the production planning and control, ensuring the smooth operation of the rolling mill and pipe plant. You will be expected to have a deep understanding of manufacturing technology and be proficient in computer skills. You will also be responsible for MIS & Budgeting and MIS & Reporting. Principal Accountabilities: Oversee the production planning and control process, ensuring that all operations are carried out in a timely and efficient manner. Utilize your product knowledge to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the rolling mill and pipe plant. Implement and manage manufacturing technology to improve production processes. Use computer skills to manage data, create reports, and perform other necessary tasks. Prepare and manage the department's budget, ensuring that all financial targets are met. Create and present MIS reports to senior management, providing them with a clear understanding of the department's performance. Foster a global mindset within the team, encouraging them to think beyond their immediate environment and consider the wider business context. Demonstrate business and commercial acumen, making decisions that benefit the company's bottom line. Promote a culture of people excellence, ensuring that all team members feel valued and are given the opportunity to reach their full potential.
