Job Description: As a Senior Engineer in Support Quality Control, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of processes and products in line with WDIPL's standards. You will be involved in the inspection, certification, and compliance of our pipe manufacturing processes. Your role will be pivotal in maintaining the quality system and ensuring technical know-how of the process and product is up to date. Principal Accountabilities: Oversee the quality control process: You will be responsible for overseeing the entire quality control process, from the initial stages of production to the final product. This includes ensuring that all processes are followed correctly and that the final product meets the company's high-quality standards. Inspection and Compliance: Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure that all products and processes comply with internal and external quality standards. You will also be responsible for ensuring that all necessary certifications are obtained and maintained. Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the production process and implement changes to increase efficiency and quality. This includes analyzing data, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvements. Training and Development: Train and mentor junior staff members on quality control procedures and standards. This includes providing technical know-how and guidance to ensure that all staff members are up to date with the latest processes and products. Conflict Management: Handle any conflicts that arise during the production process, ensuring that they are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. Decision Making: Make important decisions regarding the quality control process, including when to halt production if quality standards are not being met. Liaison and Networking: Act as a liaison between different departments within the company, as well as with external stakeholders. This includes building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, and regulatory bodies. People Management: Manage a team of quality control engineers, ensuring that they are motivated, productive, and working towards the company's quality goals.
