Description
Greenfield Project Design : Assist in the conceptual design and layout planning for new (Greenfield) steel plant projects. Prepare detailed design drawings, layouts, and specifications for new plant facilities, considering efficiency, safety, and operational requirements. Collaborate with senior engineers and project managers to ensure all new designs align with the project scope and timeline. Product Development : Participate in the design and development of new products, ensuring they meet customer requirements, industry standards, and manufacturing capabilities. Create prototypes, perform tests, and refine designs to enhance the product's functionality, efficiency, and quality. Plant Modifications & Upgrades : Design modifications and upgrades for existing plant systems and equipment to enhance performance, safety, and productivity. Work with operational teams to identify areas for improvement and develop solutions to optimize plant processes. Plant Layout Design for Various Functions : Design and optimize plant layouts, focusing on critical areas such as safety , administration , environment , yard management , dispatch , security , and utilities . Ensure layouts comply with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational efficiency. Incorporate sustainability and environmental considerations into plant design to ensure compliance with local and international standards. Coordination with Civil and Project Teams : Collaborate with civil engineers for the integration of structural elements within the plant design. Work closely with the project management team to ensure that all design activities align with project schedules, cost estimates, and quality standards. Assist in the preparation of project documentation, ensuring accurate record-keeping of all design changes and approvals. Coordination with Cross-Functional Teams : Work with security, dispatch, and utility teams to integrate their needs into the overall plant design. Participate in cross-functional project meetings to ensure designs align with operational and functional requirements Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D modeling tools. Strong knowledge of plant layouts, safety standards, environmental regulations, and utility systems. Understanding of civil engineering principles and how they integrate with plant design. Experience with design for operational functions like security, dispatch, yard management, and utilities.
