The position of Executive/Sr Executive, Procurement at this company involves reporting to the Category Lead - Extractions in Mumbai (HO). As part of the job responsibilities, you will be responsible for sourcing raw materials used in feed manufacturing in GAVL including agri commodities, animal/vegetable protein sources, etc. Additionally, you will be handling inbound/outbound logistics operations and import operations/documentations for international sourcing. Your role will also require you to conduct research and analysis on domestic and international markets to make effective buying decisions. Demonstrating enterprising sourcing acumen to consistently reduce the Total Cost of Ownership is a key aspect of this position. You will be responsible for formulating long and short-term procurement strategies by identifying gaps in demand and supply of commodities. Regular on-field supplier visits by traveling to source/producers will be necessary to ensure business success by meeting On Time Delivery targets of raw materials and ensuring continuity of operations at all times. Collaboration and partnership for cross-functional stakeholder management is essential to lead, influence, and facilitate effective execution of sourcing strategies. Continuous monitoring of the markets for identifying and introducing new raw materials is also part of your responsibilities. You will be expected to use various tools and techniques to reduce logistics costs for select raw materials and ensure compliance with organizational value systems without requiring formal supervision. In terms of qualifications and experience, the ideal candidate should be a graduate (postgraduate preferred) with a minimum of 4 to 5 years of relevant experience in similar industries. Expertise in analysis, market intelligence, strategic sourcing, and supplier performance management are crucial. Knowledge of business applications like SAP MM, E-Auction platforms, Mobile Apps, etc. would be desirable. Extensive travel across geographies is expected, and candidates from Agri industry & Food industries are encouraged to apply. Overall, the successful candidate should have good experience in procurement of commodities, raw materials, and the buying process. The ability to leverage the company's strengths in expanding a competitive vendor base and establishing long-term relationships, as well as driving supplier performance management programs to gain strategic alignments, are key components of this role.,
