BOM Costing: Format the customers BOM to match internal standards. Search online for part details and pricing to prepare quotes. Suggest replacement parts for unavailable or outdated items. Request samples from manufacturers for key components. Contact offline suppliers to find hard-to-source parts and get customer approval if needed. Check MOQ/SPQ and confirm with the customer if there are any issues. Negotiate prices with vendors when customers ask for discounts. Update BOM costing based on customer changes like part updates or quantity adjustments. Share mechanical data with vendors if mechanical parts are involved. Create a final cost summary including material, taxes and value addition. Explain the cost breakdown to sales or customers when required. RFQ responsibility: Understanding customer requirements and reviewing the inputs received for each RFQ. Collaborating with the sales team to engage with the customer and clarify the inputs necessary to proceed with the quotation process. Oversee the team that creates AFE (Authorization for Expenditure)/BCJ (Business Case Justification)/LOJ (Letter of Justification) – key component to secure project funding for the ACE/AO/CC (Airport Operations, Customer Strategy & Innovation) Portfolio. Oversee the creation of a 5-year CAPEX plan for ACE/AO/CC projects. Provide monthly financial review and forecasting of both Project’s CAPEX and OPEX, reporting on Hardware, software, reporting and analysis.
