Job Description

Role Overview: You will support contractors superintendents and/or craft professionals in the assigned area of the project. Your responsibilities will include supporting craft professional activities and work schedules, coordinating subcontract work activities, and team development. Your oversight will ensure that contractors" craft professionals have the necessary tools to be productive, comply with project policies, procedures, and job site work rules, and perform within specifications, schedules, and budgets. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and organize subcontractor activities, through coordination and instruction of subcontractors management staff within the area of responsibility. - Monitor subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements. - Review subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements. - Coordinate the construction operations impact on external interfaces to ensure they coincide with the overall established schedules. - Monitor installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor, and other requirements. - Enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules as established by field construction management. - Support Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals, in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents. - Coordinate engineering solutions with Subcontractors, Foremen, and Craft Professionals. - Coordinate with engineering on constructability issues. Qualification Required: - A recognized degree in Electrical engineering or scientific discipline. - Actual work experience leading to a thorough understanding of the technical knowledge described above. - Technical knowledge of all phases of Electrical construction activities relating to a single or multiple area including testing methods. - Thorough knowledge of construction activities as they relate to engineering disciplines, cost and scheduling, and contract administration. - Knowledge of Instrumentation engineering/construction activities is desirable. - Knowledge of Indian standards and specification and codes as applicable, including various safety procedures and practices associated with the construction activities. - Familiar with Bechtel's Business Ethics handbook and policies. - Knowledge and understanding of the application and requirements of the Project Environmental, Safety & Health (ES&H) Handbook and the Bechtel Core Processes as they relate to the area of responsibility. - Knowledge of project-specific environmental compliance requirements. - Knowledge of Bechtel's "Zero Accidents" safety program. - Knowledge of the use of subcontracts; knowledge of the contractor/subcontractor's responsibilities contained in subcontract documents. - Prior experience supervising and administering subcontractors/craft professionals.,
