As an Editor at the publishing company located in Pitampura, Delhi, your primary responsibilities will include: - Editing manuscripts submitted by Authors for final production - Delivering projects within agreed schedules - Coordinating with Authors, Illustrators, and Artists to set and enforce deadlines - Evaluating and improvising on manuscripts submitted by Authors - Participating in training sessions, which may involve presentations and case studies to provide inputs to the sales team regarding the unique selling points of the books - Collaborating with Directors on proposals for new projects and improvements to current textbooks - Identifying freelance editors and authors Basic Requirements for this role include: - A degree in English or M.A. in English - Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience - Experience in English Language Teaching (ELT) would be advantageous - Preference for candidates with a background as Senior School teachers - Experience in a publishing house, particularly in the K-12 segment, will be beneficial We are looking for a candidate who is well-versed in the new trends in the publishing industry and has familiarity with school curricula.
