SummaryThe Retail Store Sales Executive is responsible for driving sales, delivering exceptional customer service, and maintaining an attractive, well-stocked store environment. This role focuses on meeting sales targets, building customer relationships, executing merchandising and promotional activities, and supporting day-to-day store operations. Key ResponsibilitiesGreet customers, identify needs, and provide product information and demonstrations to drive conversions. Achieve and exceed individual and store sales targets through proactive selling and upselling. Process sales transactions accurately (POS), handle cash and card payments, and manage returns/exchanges following store policy. Maintain product displays, restock shelves, and ensure visual merchandising standards are met. Keep the sales floor clean, organized, and safe; report maintenance or safety issues promptly. Build and maintain long-term customer relationships; manage customer queries and complaints professionally. Participate in store inventory counts and stock reconciliation; report discrepancies. Assist with promotional activities, loss prevention, and store opening/closing procedures. Share product and competitor feedback with management; contribute ideas to improve sales and customer experience. Collaborate with team members to support an efficient, positive store environment. QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent required; diploma/degree in business, retail management, or related field preferred. Proven retail sales experience (typically 1–3 years) or demonstrable customer-facing experience. Basic numeracy and comfort using point-of-sale systems. Flexible availability including weekends and holidays as retail needs dictate. Skills & CompetenciesStrong customer service and communication skills. Persuasive selling and upselling ability. Team player with a positive, customer-first attitude. Attention to detail and good organizational skills. Basic problem-solving and complaint-resolution skills. Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate weight (as required for merchandising/stocking). Familiarity with inventory systems and retail KPIs is a plus.
