Role & responsibilities SAP Basis and DBA Administration: 1. Perform installation, configuration, and maintenance of SAP S/4HANA systems. 2. Provide technical support for SAP landscapes, ensuring compliance with SLAs. 2. Document system configurations, operational procedures, and troubleshooting guides. 3. Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions for recurring issues. Soft Skills: 1. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities. 2. Strong communication and teamwork skills. 3. Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure. Required Skills and Qualifications 1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 2. Job description Job Title: SAP Basis Operations Consultant Key Responsibilities: Perform SAP system refreshes and system copies across various environments (Dev, QA, Pre-Prod, and Prod). Manage end-to-end upgrade projects for SAP applications (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, etc.). Conduct SPS upgrades and patching for ABAP and Java stacks. Execute database-level upgrades and coordinate with DBAs for activities related to HANA, Oracle, or other supported DBs. Monitor and maintain system health, performance, and availability of SAP systems. Troubleshoot and resolve SAP Basis-related incidents and service requests. Ensure smooth transport management and change control across the landscape. Support backup, restore, and disaster recovery procedures. Maintain documentation and knowledge base for all SAP operations tasks. Collaborate with functional teams, infrastructure teams, and vendors for smooth operations. Required Skills and Qualifications: 5 - 12 years of SAP Basis administration experience. Strong hands-on experience with: System Refresh/System Copy SPS Upgrades / Kernel Patching End-to-End Upgrades (SAP and DB) DB upgrades (especially HANA and/or Oracle) Good understanding of SAP architecture and integration points across modules. Experience working on distributed environments (e.g., ABAP + Java stacks). Proficiency in OS and DB-level troubleshooting. Familiarity with SAP Notes, SUM, SPAM/SAINT, SWPM, and other SAP tools. Knowledge of transport management system (TMS). Exposure to cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) and SAP BTP is a plus.
