As a Substation Maintenance Technician, your primary responsibility will be to inspect, test, and perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various substation equipment including transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, relays, and control systems. You will collaborate closely with engineers, utility operators, and other technicians during routine maintenance as well as emergency repair work. Conducting grounding checks, oil sampling, insulation resistance tests, and thermal imaging will be integral parts of scheduled maintenance activities. Additionally, you may be required to assist in substation upgrades, equipment installations, and system modifications as needed.
