Job Description

The Substation BIM Modeller/ Electrical Modeller will work on Revit, AUTOCAD, and Microstation platforms for project/tender specific activities assigned to the OPC group along with a skilled team on a wide range of international T&D substation projects. As an individual contributor, you will use prior theoretical learning or knowledge of methods and technologies to execute work assignments using established solutions. Independently work on CAD platforms for the 2D/3D design and detail engineering of substations. Develop tender engineering drawings efficiently without compromising on quality. Ensure the completeness of the assigned packages and the correct function of the resulting substation system. Confirm that the engineering is developed by considering all information and conducting inter-discipline checks, with results documented in the project-specific storage area. Resolve CAD issues that arise during engineering development. Report and maintain records of all engineering changes. Collaborate with the engineering team to agree on project-specific impacts caused by changes. Ensure compliance with Linxon and Client engineering guidelines, standards, and quality throughout the engineering process. Prioritize safety by understanding and following Linxon Occupational Health and Safety procedures and guidelines. The ideal candidate will have 5-8 years of experience in substation design and drafting with BIM expertise. A Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering is required. Sound knowledge of BIM Revit tools, hands-on experience with MicroStation and AutoCAD 2D platforms, and sufficient speed in 3D Model/Family creation are essential. Experience in HV Substation Electromechanical Design drawings preparation, including One-line diagrams, Three-line diagrams, AIS & GIS substation layout, Sections, Cable trench/Conduit layout, Grounding layout, and details is preferred. The role is looking for a Primary CAD designer with experience in North American utilities.,
