As a Subcontracts Engineer for our client's location in Vadodara, Gujarat, you will be responsible for overseeing the identification, selection, and management of subcontractors to ensure timely project completion within budget and quality standards. Your role will involve negotiating and awarding subcontracts, monitoring subcontractor performance, and facilitating effective communication between internal teams and external subcontractors. Your key responsibilities will include: Subcontractor Selection & Procurement: - Identifying and evaluating potential subcontractors based on project requirements, quality standards, and compliance criteria. - Issuing and managing Request for Quotation (RFQs) for subcontracted work. - Negotiating rates, terms, and conditions with subcontractors. - Conducting rate analysis for various execution line items. - Ensuring subcontractors possess the necessary qualifications, experience, and capabilities for project fulfillment. Subcontract Management: - Monitoring compliance with contractual terms, deadlines, quality standards, and safety protocols. - Resolving disputes and issues related to subcontract performance or delivery. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: - Tracking subcontractor performance throughout the project lifecycle. - Ensuring timely delivery of specified deliverables within the agreed budget. - Conducting site visits or meetings to assess work quality and safety adherence. - Reporting on subcontractor performance and suggesting improvements. Coordination & Communication: - Acting as the primary liaison between subcontractors and internal teams (e.g., project execution, procurement, finance). - Collaborating with the project team to align subcontracted work with project goals and timelines. - Addressing concerns raised by subcontractors or internal stakeholders. Compliance & Risk Management: - Ensuring subcontractor compliance with laws, regulations, and company policies. - Monitoring adherence to safety, environmental, and quality standards. - Managing risks associated with subcontracting. Documentation & Record-Keeping: - Maintaining accurate records of all subcontract documents and internal approvals. - Preparing detailed reports on subcontractor activities, project progress, and financial expenditures. - Presenting reports to management on departmental objectives. You should have proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook to effectively carry out your responsibilities.,
