Job Title: Project Manager Objective of the Role: The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all commercial and technical aspects of an EPC/EPCM project on behalf of the owner. This includes overseeing project execution, ensuring compliance with engineering and quality standards, managing contractual obligations, and leading multidisciplinary teams. Continuously monitor the project budget, accurately forecast costs to complete, and interface with cost control resources to produce timely and accurate monthly project cost reports. Manage project counsel tasks related to dispute resolution and arbitration efforts. Ensure all contractor and subcontractor insurance policies required under the related contracts are in effect. Risk Management & Compliance: Ensure a robust risk management strategy is in place, addressing any engineering challenges to prevent delays or safety issues. Ensure compliance with QA/QC obligations under the associated contracts. Liaise with local government and regulatory bodies as required. Ensure safety and environmental considerations are integrated into all design and engineering processes. Stakeholder & Team Management: Serve as a primary liaison between the owner's organization, Licensors, and EPCM agencies, fostering strong partnerships and clear communication. Plan and facilitate EPCM contract monthly project review meetings between Owner and EPCM contractor. Coordinate with internal teams such as Project Management, Procurement, Quality, Safety, and Operations to align engineering objectives and facilitate smooth project execution. Prepare and present regular engineering status reports to senior management, highlighting progress, challenges, and mitigation strategies. Manage completion testing and handover of the facility to the Process team. Oversee the transition from project execution to operations and plant maintenance for Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, and Civil disciplines. Key Deliverables: Completion of project milestones within budget and schedule. Successful commissioning and start-up of the plant. Roles & Responsibilities Design Management Lead and manage engineering design delivery for assigned projects. Develop and oversee Engineering Project Plans encompassing scope, schedule, cost, risk, and resources. Collaborate with engineering discipline leads to ensure optimal design methodologies and outputs. Implement design quality procedures to ensure right-first-time philosophy adherence. Manage supplier and subcontractor design input, ensuring integration and alignment with project goals. Produce designs prioritizing health & safety, environmental considerations, construction feasibility, and stakeholder needs. Project Delivery Work collaboratively with other project functions to deliver outcomes efficiently. Seek opportunities to enhance affordability and value throughout the design process. Support project programmes to achieve milestones and drive efficiencies. Develop sustainable designs contributing to carbon reduction and natural capital enhancement. Contribute to risk management and value-driven outcomes. Health & Safety Ensure compliance with Construction Design & Management (CDM) Regulations, managing design-related health and safety risks. Identify and address health, safety, and welfare issues within the team. People/Team Development Provide clear leadership to the project design team, fostering a positive and inclusive environment. Manage multi-disciplinary teams, including performance management and mentoring. Identify competency gaps and support recruitment and development initiatives. Candidate Specification Degree in Civil / Mechanical Engineering from accredited university with good relevant work experience Relevant experience in a consultancy organisation for Water Sector. Responsibilities: 1. Prepare and process bills like RA, advance, cash, and final bills. 2. Create, verify, and maintain quantity sheets, BOQs, and BBS from site data and drawings. 3. Coordinate with site and project teams for accurate measurement and billing. 4. Manage subcontractor bills, client billing, and timely invoice submission. 5. Monitor project budgets, cost control, payment cycles, and material/labour reconciliation. 6. Resolve any billing disputes, ensure full documentation, and maintain compliance. Requirements: - B.E./B.Tech. or Diploma in Civil Engineering. - Minimum 5 years’ experience in billing for major construction projects. - Proficient in estimation, rate analysis, billing software, and financial reporting. - Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
