Job Title: Tender Estimation Engineer – Solar & BESS Projects Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tender Estimation Engineer with expertise in both solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS). The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive, and technically compliant bids for EPC projects. Cost Estimation & Optimization • Create detailed BOQs, pricing sheets, and breakdowns for all project components: solar panels, inverters, batteries (Li-ion, LFP), PCS, SCADA, EMS, and balance of plant (BOP). • Source and validate vendor and subcontractor quotes for solar and storage equipment. • Optimize costs by proposing value-engineering options, alternative configurations, or technology selections. Design Coordination • Collaborate with engineering teams to produce basic system designs, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and layout drawings during the bidding stage. • Ensure alignment between design, scope, and cost assumptions. Cross-Functional Coordination • Coordinate with procurement, engineering, finance, and legal teams to gather inputs for tender submissions. • Track and manage deliverables for multiple bids, ensuring timely submission and document accuracy. Market & Risk Analysis • Stay updated on market trends, technology costs, and regulatory changes related to solar and BESS. • Identify and analyze technical and commercial risks in tenders and suggest mitigation measures.
