Job Title: Purchase Engineer Department: Purchase Reports to: HOD - Purchase Position type: Permanent Grade/CTC: 3-5 LPA Job Location: Ambernath (MH) Education: BE - Mechanical Engineering Experience: 4+ years of experience in experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment focused on machine components. Duties/Responsibilities: Identify and evaluate suppliers for various machine components, including bearings, gears, shafts, electrical motors, pumps, fasteners, and other mechanical parts. Develop and maintain long-term relationships with reliable suppliers for critical machine components. Perform supplier performance evaluations, focusing on cost, quality, and delivery performance Ensure that suppliers adhere to quality standards and contractual agreements. Work closely with the engineering and production teams to understand the technical specifications and requirements for machined components & its subcontracting. Address any quality issues with suppliers and coordinate corrective actions as necessary. Maintain optimal stock levels of machine components to prevent production disruptions due to shortages or excess inventory. Work with suppliers to negotiate favorable prices and terms, aiming to reduce the cost of machine components while maintaining quality standards Prepare and maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications Act as a liaison between internal teams and suppliers to resolve any issues related to component availability or quality Skills to have Proven purchasing or procurement, preferably within a manufacturing environment focused on machine components Strong understanding of mechanical components, their functions, and applications within industrial machinery and equipment Experience with ERP software would be an added advantage Excellent negotiation, interpersonal, and communication skills to interact with suppliers and internal teams. Job Title: Subcontracting Production Assistant Manager/Manager Location: Jalgaon Strategic Role Overview The Subcontracting Production Head will play a critical role in Spectrums Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy , ensuring the seamless integration of subcontracting operations with material procurement, production planning, and vendor development. This leadership role will focus on timely material availability , efficient production scheduling , strategic subcontractor development , and alignment with overall business goals for on-time customer deliveries and cost optimization. Key Strategic Responsibilities SCM Alignment Integrate subcontracting plans with the overall supply chain strategy to ensure seamless flow of materials and finished goods. Material Availability Develop and monitor robust material planning processes to ensure timely supply to subcontractors without overstocking or shortages. Production Planning & Control – Lead production scheduling for subcontracted operations based on customer demand forecasts, lead times, and capacity. Subcontractor Development – Identify, evaluate, and strategically develop subcontractors to expand capacity, improve quality, and reduce dependency risks. Cost & Efficiency Optimization – Implement initiatives to improve turnaround time, minimize wastage, and optimize resource utilization in subcontracting. Quality & Compliance – Ensure all subcontracted work meets Spectrum’s quality standards, statutory requirements, and customer specifications. Cross-functional Collaboration – Coordinate with procurement, planning, logistics, and quality teams for synchronized supply chain execution. Performance Tracking – Establish KPIs for subcontractor delivery, quality, and cost performance; review regularly and drive continuous improvement. Risk Management – Anticipate and mitigate risks related to supply chain disruptions, capacity shortfalls, and material availability. Data-driven Decision-making – Use ERP/SAP data, demand forecasts, and analytics to plan strategically and drive operational excellence. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management; MBA preferred. 8–15 years of experience in production, subcontracting, and supply chain management , with leadership exposure. Proven expertise in material planning, vendor development, and production scheduling . Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, procurement strategies, and logistics management. Proficiency in SAP systems and MS Office tools. Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving, negotiation, and vendor relationship skills.
