Job Description:

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Subcontract Follow-up Executive to join our production and supply chain team at G R Industrial Engineering Products Private Limited. The ideal candidate will be responsible for tracking and coordinating subcontracted manufacturing activities, ensuring timely delivery of parts, adherence to technical requirements, and smooth communication between internal teams and subcontractors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of outsourced parts and components.
• Follow up on work orders and delivery schedules to maintain production timelines.
• Verify that subcontracted parts meet engineering and quality requirements.
• Maintain subcontractor status reports and update production teams on delivery timelines.
• Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all subcontracted parts.
• Address delays, quality issues, or rework requirements with vendors promptly.
• Work closely with Quality Control, Production, and Procurement departments for seamless operations.
• Support audits and process improvement initiatives related to subcontracting activities.
• Ensure that the special requirements of the job has to be properly conveyed to the subcontractor.

Key Skills:

• Strong communication and follow-up skills with external vendors.
• Familiarity with machining and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret 2D engineering drawings.
• Basic knowledge of quality control and technical standards.
• Proficient in maintaining documentation and records.
• Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems.
• Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 or similar quality systems is a plus.

Qualifications:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering
• Minimum 2 years of experience in subcontract/vendor follow-up or production coordination in a manufacturing environment.
