As a Senior Publishing Production Executive specializing in Typesetting using Adobe InDesign, you will play a crucial role in our Chennai office. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the entire production lifecycle, from layout design and typesetting to final file delivery. Ensuring output quality, maintaining style consistency, and adhering to client specifications will be key aspects of your role. You will collaborate with editorial and cross-functional teams, manage revisions, solve technical layout issues, and uphold project timelines and production schedules. Your duties will include managing the full typesetting lifecycle, executing projects across various content types, creating and maintaining structured Adobe InDesign templates, formatting complex content components precisely, and generating high-quality deliverables for print and digital formats. Effective coordination with XML, editorial, and QA teams, conducting preflight checks, enforcing stylesheet compliance, and providing guidance to junior typesetters are also part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must demonstrate advanced proficiency in Adobe InDesign, possess a deep understanding of typesetting standards and page architecture, and have practical experience in GREP scripting and high-volume production workflows. Knowledge of equation composition tools like MathType, familiarity with EPUB and PDF/X output formats, and basic accessibility layout principles are essential. Exposure to InDesign scripting, LaTeX, and XML tagging standards such as BITS or JATS would be advantageous.
