You are required to work as an FPSO Piping Design Engineer / Designer for an MNC based in Navi Mumbai specializing in Oil and Gas industry. The job is on a contract basis for a minimum of 6 months with the possibility of extension. To be eligible for this role, you should hold a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5-15 years of experience in Offshore platform Piping. Your primary responsibility will be to lead and supervise a team of Piping Engineers and Designers as the Lead Engineer of the project. You will be expected to ensure efficient project execution within the specified schedule and budget constraints. A strong understanding of offshore piping materials, stress engineering, platforms and FPSO layout design, material handling, piping/pipe support design, and safety requirements is essential. Additionally, you will be required to conduct E3D model reviews in line with project requirements and effectively manage design changes by providing suitable solutions during project execution. Your role will involve producing deliverables such as design calculations, specifications, procedures, analyses, progress reports, bid evaluations, CTR input, study reports, and other third-party submissions. Your expertise, integrity, and knowledge in discipline engineering, including design codes, legislative requirements, and current engineering practices, will be crucial. You should be able to understand clients" needs, identify and address design parameters and issues, and develop and implement viable solutions. Regular inter-discipline and discipline QA/QC checks on all work performed by yourself or junior engineers within the team will be part of your responsibilities. Roles and Responsibilities Collaborate with the Production Manager and other stakeholders to develop production plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies to meet customer demand and delivery targets. Monitor production schedules and adjust workflows as needed to optimize efficiency, minimize downtime, and maximize productivity. Carry out inspection procedures with clients. Investigate and troubleshoot power quality problems at customer site(s) (e.g. hormonic distortion, voltage sags). Carry out power quality studies at the customers site(s) and draft in-depth reports after analyzing the study data. Provide technical support for power quality-related projects. Commissioning of Power Quality and Energy Management Solution at the Customer site. Determine the clients power quality and energy management requirements. Your work will require travelling outstation. Skill Set and Experience Qualification: Diploma / Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering or related field. Experience: 2 or more years of experience in power quality analysis, electrical engineering or related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Candidate should be having knowledge of Electrical drawings, Single Line diagrams and Bill of Materials. Knowledge of panel assembly and testing procedures. Fundamental understanding of electrical systems. Should have brief understanding of IoT, GSM, RS-485 etc. Ability to put together technical specifications, drawings and other documentation for power quality and energy management solutions. Fluency in spoken and written English. Technical troubleshooting and demonstrated problem solving skills. learn to perform and manage activities related to technical data compilation and proofing and use of generic documents in compliance with appropriate protocol, Standard Operating Procedure (SOP), regulatory agency guideline, and client requirements in a timely, efficient, and quality manner. Take on DC-related team leader responsibilities, as appropriate (i.e. shipping calendar maintenance, process improvement projects, etc.). Mentor and/or train new DCs. Learn basic study document preparation/maintenance (i.e. prepare standard study protocols from outlines; prepare basic report shells for study directors/SCs to write in). Learn the job duties of the associate DC and more around knowledge of the scheduling tools, etc. Reads and understands study protocols, sample analysis outlines, amendments, regulatory requirements, and SOPs/ as they pertain to basic data retrieval and compilation from electronic systems (i.e. Tox Reporting, etc.). Gains familiarity and understanding in the use and preparation of generic document templates Gains familiarity and understanding in the use and preparation of client-specific requirements as they pertain to client document deliverables (protocols/reports) Works with Study Coordinators to assist in the preparation of study protocols and reports within client-specific requirements and/or the incorporation of contributing information into study reports. Learns to proof shipping paperwork prepared by others. Takes on DC team leader responsibilities and acts as a mentor/trainer for new DCs, as appropriate/applicable Learns and successfully performs report to data QC of at least two study types.
