Student Counselor

· Provide one to one counseling for the students who have been referred and those students who walk-in : Reasons or signs of aggressiveness, mood swings, declining academic performance, absenteeism, hyperactivity, changing peer groups, anxiety, stress etc,

· Provide additional sessions to students who may require more intensive approach in accordance with parents / teachers / Coordinator & Principal

· A school counselor helps in early identification of problem behaviors and takes suitable steps to prevent the onset of psychosocial problems. In case of psychosocial problems detected after their onset, the school counselor works towards finding suitable solutions,

· The reports of the counseled students to be maintained with confidentially, should be strictly shared with principal only if need being

· Parents and school authorities could be informed

· Any other responsibility assigned by school Authority as and when required.

· Staff counseling to be taken up for professional and personal benefits if needed.

· to keep the teacher in the loop about the work being done, and how to modify his/her behavior accordingly, as well as for inputs about the conditions of the classroom

· To maintain cordial relationship with associated teacher

· Relationship with other staff should be professional and disciplined

· Conduct different awareness programs/workshop on bullying and violence prevention, grief and loss, crisis and trauma readiness, substance use, counseling children and adolescents.

· Create positive educational climate for students to learn

· Conduct awareness programs

· Understand potentials and skills of each student and guide the according to their skills

· Student and teacher relationship should be professional and disciplined

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
