Academic Director/Coordinator To Prepare and deliver an Academic plan in line with a vision of the institution with the Principal and abiding by the rules of the affiliated board. To Strive to exceed standards in academic growth and development of the institution as well as each student. To ensure that all academic activities under the relevant stream are carried as per the annual plan. To contribute creatively and innovatively to the development and success of the stream and the school. To Impart education of the finest quality and strives to exceed set standards and expectations of the parents, society and management. To ensure that each student is developed, groomed and nurtured as a promise to the society and nation at large. To Motivate, Coach, Train and mentor all academic personnel. To Provide guidance and leadership to academic personnel. To Enrich the Students and staff by radiating positive energy, team spirit and sense of honor. To be a panel member of recruitment, selection, training& development, performance management, review, improvement and rewarding of reporting subordinates. To be consulted by teachers in academic curricular activities. To define measurable and non-measurable Quality Control methods and key results areas and for academic personnel. To look into the enrichment and enhancement of academics. To deputise the Principal if necessary To Act effectively as a member of following committees (As per relevant policy guidelines) Academic management committees Service Excellence Team Roles and responsibilities Plan and execute a concrete plan of high achievers of the school. Ensure that the academic plan is reviewed well at all levels and to train the academic personnel as per the plan. To personally anticipate as a member of the curricular committees in researching, designing, planning, Implementing and evaluating the success of the implemented Curriculum plan. To Maintain the values, culture and climate of the organization by teaming up all heads and Team leads. To participate in all efforts to ensure continuous and eventual safety concerns of students and academic personnel. Design and implement remedial plan. Planning and conducting value added classes in consultation with the team. To participate as the member of the Academic Recruitment Panel in planning and recruiting Academic personnel. To participate as the member of the Academic Training Panel carrying out all training, mentoring, and coaching of academic personnel. To participate as the member of the Academic Performance management panel in assessing and reviewing the performance of academic personnel. To work with the principal and vice principals and teachers to ensure the smooth functioning of the academic plan for the year. Accountabilities To ensure the effective design, planning, implementation and evaluation of the curriculum. To oversee the preparation of the timetable, class listing by the Vice Principals in consultation with the principal. To recommend Curricular infrastructure requested by the vice principals and HODS for the approval of the principal. To ensure the conduct of necessary meetings, workshops and group activity for academic personnel in consultation with the principal. To understand the overall functioning of the school and work in collaborative manner to ensure the smooth functioning of all the departments of the school. Areas of Consultation To impart your knowledge and expertise by guiding and advising the Vice Principals, HODS and Teachers in Planning and implementing the curriculum. To Impart your Knowledge and expertise by guiding and advising in researching, designing, planning, implementing and evaluating the Learning and development of Academic Personnel. To Impart your Knowledge and expertise by guiding and advising in planning and conducting meetings, seminars, events under the academic banner. To Impart your Knowledge and expertise by guiding and advising in the continuous management of performance of all academic personnel. Deliverables Core curriculum Research, Design, Plan. Curriculum Enrichment Research Design, Plan. Timely completion of Curriculum portions Examination Test planning and implementation Student Mentorship Report. Performance management of Academic Personnel Including Vice Principals, HODS and teachers. Lesson plan supervision Report. Class supervision and feedback (3 Times in a year) Curriculum Budget Remedials Class observation report of all academic personnel at least once in a term and for new recruits twice in a term. Maintain a graph of student performance. Key performance Indicators Curriculum Results Curriculum Enrichment results Performance of teachers (No of teachers requiring improvements /Vs No of teachers recommended for reward) Student and parent feedback.
