Structure Engineer for highway construction

As a Bridge Design Engineer, your role involves reviewing NIT/RFP and preparing proposals and site structures plans in compliance with codes and local regulations. You will be responsible for verifying tender drawings against design data for traffic/load calculations of various structures like bridges, culverts, and drains. Redesigning old bridges and culverts with new data and preparing BOQ will also be a part of your responsibilities. Your expertise in RCC/Steel Bridge design and proficiency in software like Staad-Pro and AutoCAD will be crucial for structural design and analysis. In addition, you will need to work closely with various stakeholders such as PMC, clients, sub-consultants, and architects. Regularly reviewing project status with the management team, evaluating construction methods for cost-effectiveness, and ensuring optimization of technical issues will be key aspects of your role. Your knowledge of EPC contracts and pre-bid stages, as well as awareness of current item rates and costing in Highway/Bridge projects, will be beneficial.
