As a Senior Engineer - Mechanical Design at Epiroc India, you will play a crucial role in leading Mechanical System design and development to ensure the product meets performance, reliability, quality, and cost objectives. We are looking for a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer (Structural Integration) to join our team and take responsibility for designing and developing structures for Drill rigs. Your role will involve overseeing the mechanical design process from concept generation to prototype testing and production implementation. Your key responsibilities will include designing and developing mechanical systems and component integration, collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions, performing feasibility studies and technical assessments, defining specifications, conducting design reviews, and maintaining design guidelines and standards for subsystem structural design. To succeed in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in structural design and development with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in mechanical engineering. You should have a strong understanding of GD&T, Team Centre, sheet metal design, and welding techniques. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CREO) and experience with PLM engineering tools (e.g., Teamcenter) is essential. Additionally, you should possess excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication and collaboration abilities. Job description ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented FEA Engineer Electric Motor Design to join our team and contribute to the structural, thermal, and electromagnetic analysis of electric motors. You will play a key role in validating and optimizing motor designs for performance and durability through simulation-driven development. Your role will be: Conduct electromagnetic, thermal, and structural FEA of electric motor components (stator, rotor, housing, etc.) Support the design team with simulation data to improve mechanical robustness and thermal performance. Use FEA tools like ANSYS, COMSOL to analyze stresses, vibrations, and deformations. Validate simulation results with test data and engineering calculations. Prepare technical reports and suggest design improvements.. YOUR CONTRIBUTION AT APROPOSDRIVE: Enhance the performance and reliability of next-generation electric motors through advanced simulation. Support the development of motors for EVs, appliances, and custom industrial solutions. Collaborate across teams to ensure simulation-backed design decisions are implemented effectively. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: Strong understanding of electric motors and electromagnetic analysis, supported by solid fundamentals in mechanical engineering, heat transfer, and structural mechanics . Hands-on experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS, COMSOL. Knowledge of electric motor structure and working principles. Experience with thermal simulations and mechanical stress analysis. Bonus: Exposure to electromagnetic analysis tools like JMAG or Motor-CAD. Good communication, report writing, and teamwork skills.
