You should have 3-5 years of experience in the Marine & Offshore Industry. Your qualifications should include a Diploma/ITI. Your role will involve having a thorough understanding of Marine Vessels and Offshore Platforms detailing such as Oil Tankers, Jack-up Rigs, Offshore Jackets, and Platforms. You must be familiar with Marine and Offshore standards and terminologies, as well as welding standards, structural profiles, shapes, and plates. A good understanding of materials used in Marine and Oil & Gas Engineering is essential. You should be capable of preparing General Arrangement drawings, Detail drawings, and Fabrication drawings with Material Take Off (MTO) in AutoCAD or similar software. Knowledge in the preparation of Detail Engineering drawings for production is required. You should also be able to update basic scantling plans as per 3D modeling. A thorough knowledge of AutoCAD is a must, and familiarity with CADMATIC 3D software or any other 3D software will be considered an additional qualification.
