Structural Engineer (Steel Structures)

You are a skilled Structural Engineer with expertise in steel structure design using STAAD Pro and IDEA StatiCa. You have hands-on experience with American (AISC, ASCE) and European (Eurocode) standards and a strong background in analyzing and designing steel connections, frames, and industrial/commercial structures. Your key responsibilities will include performing structural analysis and design of steel structures using STAAD Pro, designing and optimizing steel connections using IDEA StatiCa, ensuring compliance with AISC, ASCE, Eurocode, and other relevant standards, preparing detailed calculations, drawings, and technical reports, collaborating with architects, contractors, and project managers to deliver cost-effective solutions, conducting finite element analysis (FEA) for complex steel components, reviewing and approving shop drawings and fabrication details, and participating in site inspections to resolve structural issues. To be successful in this role, you are required to have a Bachelors/Masters degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, at least 3 years of experience in steel structure design, proficiency in STAAD Pro (modeling, analysis, and design), hands-on experience with IDEA StatiCa for connection design, strong knowledge of AISC, ASCE, Eurocode 3, and other relevant standards, familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or Tekla Structures is a plus, excellent problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work independently and in a team environment.
