Structural Engineer - Seismic analysis

Role Overview: You will be a part of the PGHV Industrial Components, Steel Structural Engineering team at Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC). Your main responsibility will be the preparation of steel structures for cooling systems, including both 3D models and 2D drawings. You will support project engineers in Sweden and project lead engineers in developing project-specific engineering documents and drawings for submission to suppliers. As an individual contributor, you will need to deliver tasks accurately and collaborate effectively with colleagues to ensure project completion. Key Responsibilities: - Preparation of steel structures for cooling systems, including design calculations using software such as Staad. Pro, Idea-static, Ansys. - Ensure all necessary inputs are available from stakeholders. - Conduct self-review and peer review of documents. - Deliver designs on time with quality, coordinating with team members and project lead engineer. - Maintain and update project documentation according to quality processes. - Uphold Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. Qualifications Required: - 5-9 years of experience with a B.E/M.E in Mechanical, or Civil & Structural Engineering. - Hands-on experience in structural engineering using software like STAAD. Pro, Idea-static, Ansys & Hilti Profits. - Familiarity with codes and standards applicable for structure design (American, European, Canadian, etc.). - Working knowledge of Tekla structures is advantageous. - Team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Proficiency in tools like AUTOCAD, MS Office. - Knowledge of Galvanization & painting procedures. - Familiarity with international standards such as IEC/IEEE/ANSI, Seismic zones, and Response spectra. - Knowledge of HV substation/HV products is preferred.,
