Structural Engineer 6 (Bridges)

Role Overview: You will be joining CDM Smith as a member of the team responsible for designing simple and complex roadway bridges, transportation-related structures, and performing structural analysis and design. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the drafting team, preparing structural plans, and conducting bridge load ratings. Additionally, you will engage in knowledge and skill exchange within the team. Key Responsibilities: - Design simple and complex roadway bridges, including grade separations, stream crossings, and bridge rehabilitations. - Design transportation-related structures such as culverts and retaining walls. - Work closely with the drafting team to develop structural plans. - Prepare structural analysis and design reports. - Perform bridge load ratings. - Independently review the structural analysis and design of various transportation structures. - Exchange knowledge and skills with the team. Qualifications Required: - Post Graduation in Structural Engineering. - Good communication skills with fluency in English. - 15+ years of experience in the analysis and design of Bridges, Grade separators, flyovers, underpasses, interchanges, Pedestrian bridges, skywalks, etc. - Thorough knowledge of AASHTO, British, and Euro standards. - Experience in designing Reinforced Concrete Bridges, Structural steel bridges, and pre-stressed concrete bridges. - Familiarity with the design of bearings, expansion joints, and other bridge-related structures. - Prior project experience in the Middle East and US. - Proficiency in AASHTO LRFD bridge design methods and seismic design of bridge structures. - Knowledge of structural steel member and connection design. - Experience in shoring design, assessment of bridge rating, and design of light poles and signage gantries. - Software exposure to Finite Element Analysis, Modeling & Analytical Skills, specifically Staad Pro, Midas Civil, CSI Bridges, SAP, and ETABS.
