Structural Draftsman

Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled BIM Structural Draftsman to support our structural engineering team by preparing accurate and detailed BIM models and structural drawings. The ideal candidate should have strong experience in structural drafting using Revit, AutoCAD, and other BIM tools, with a good understanding of construction and detailing standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare structural drawings and 3D BIM models using Revit and AutoCAD based on engineering markups and design requirements.
• Coordinate and collaborate with architects, MEP, and other engineering disciplines to ensure model consistency.
• Produce accurate shop drawings, detailed sections, and reinforcement detailing as required.
• Maintain BIM models and update them as needed through the lifecycle of the project.
• Follow company and project BIM standards and ensure compliance with local and international codes.
• Assist in clash detection and coordination using Navisworks or other BIM coordination software.
• Ensure quality control of drafted output and manage drawing revisions.
• Attend coordination meetings and provide input on constructability and detailing issues.

Requirements:

• Diploma or degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field.
• Minimum [3-5] years of experience as a structural draftsman, with at least [2] years using BIM/Revit.
• Proficiency in Revit Structure, AutoCAD, and familiarity with Navisworks.
• Solid knowledge of structural systems (RC, steel, post-tensioning, etc.) and detailing standards.
• Experience working on large-scale buildings, infrastructure, or villa projects is an advantage.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Good communication and coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in Revit or BIM is a plus.
• Familiarity with ISO 19650 or other BIM standards.
• Experience working in consultant or contractor environments in the UAE or GCC region.
