Structural Design Head For Established Manufacturing Co.-Pune(6 days)

Role & responsibilities:

1. Lead a team of designers and modelers to create detailed 3D models and drawings for structural supports for Mechanical, Plumbing, and Firefighting systems, including plans, single-line diagrams, sections, and elevations using Staad, Revit, Navisworks and AutoCAD.
2. Review client inputs, define project scope, and ensure alignment with design intent while planning and delegating work across the team.
3. Provide technical guidance to team members to enhance productivity and skills.
4. Collaborate with the BIM/CAD team to meet project requirements, timelines, and quality standards.
5. Facilitate coordination between the team and other discipline leads, designers, and engineers to ensure integrated project delivery.
6. Oversee the development of clash-free 3D models in Revit and ensure the creation of custom Revit families when required.
7. Validate and approve Shop/Installation Drawings derived from coordinated models.
8. Monitor project progress, proactively address risks, and provide updates to Discipline Leads, Project Managers, or Project Leads.
9. Stay informed about technical advancements and integrate relevant updates into team workflows.
10. Represent the team in project meetings and client calls, fostering clear communication and effective problem-solving.
11. Ensure adherence to company QAQC processes, BIM protocols, and safety standards.
12. Identify training and development opportunities for team members to enhance performance and career growth.
13. Perform other duties as assigned by management and contribute to strategic initiatives.
14. Manage off-hours coordination with clients as needed and delegate responsibilities effectively.

• Proven ability to lead and manage a team in the creation of Mechanical Revit MEP 3D models for building projects.
• Expertise in AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360, and ProjectWise, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant role
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills, with a focus on fostering teamwork and collaboration.
• Adept at identifying and resolving technical and coordination challenges.
• Skilled in project planning, task delegation, and performance monitoring.
• Familiarity with MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for project reporting and communication.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly to both clients and team members.
• Quick learner with a proactive attitude towards innovation and process improvement.
• Commitment to safety, quality, and delivering exceptional client service.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with creating and managing custom Revit families.

Proficiency in implementing QAQC practices and BIM strategies at a team or project level.

Ability to mentor team members and provide constructive feedback to foster growth and learning.
