Required Skills & Tools - Strong knowledge of precision machining processes and shop floor operations - Proficiency in SPC, FMEA, 5S, Six Sigma, and Lean Manufacturing - Hands-on experience with CMMs, micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators - Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949 standards - Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills Qualifications - Bachelors degree in Mechanical/Production Engineering or related field - Certifications like CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or Lean Six Sigma preferred

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly experienced and hands-on Production Manager to oversee daily operations of our shop floor and machine shop . The ideal candidate will have a solid background in machining processes, team leadership, production planning, and lean manufacturing practices. Key Responsibilities: Manage and supervise all shop floor activities, including CNC machining, lathe operations, milling, grinding, and assembly. Ensure daily production targets and delivery schedules are met. Optimize production processes to improve efficiency, quality, and reduce downtime. Implement lean manufacturing, 5S, TPM, and other continuous improvement practices. Plan and allocate manpower effectively across shifts. Monitor machine utilization and coordinate preventive maintenance with the maintenance team. Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Track production KPIs like OEE, productivity, rejection rate, and cycle time. Coordinate with the Quality, Purchase, Design, and Maintenance teams for smooth workflow. Train and develop shop floor supervisors and operators. Requirements: 10 to 30 years of hands-on experience in a machine shop environment. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes like turning, milling, boring, drilling, grinding, and welding. Experience in managing CNC and conventional machine operations. Sound knowledge of machining tolerances, process sheets, and drawings. Proficiency in production planning and ERP systems. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and team management skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
