As a Principal Software Engineer at Chubb, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing scalable, cloud-based applications for claims systems and customer self-service capabilities. Your responsibilities will include leading the full software development lifecycle, ensuring secure and efficient solutions aligned with business goals. Collaborating with a team of developers, you will drive the delivery of high-quality systems that streamline complex claims processes. Key responsibilities of this role include: - Leading the design and delivery of large-scale claims processing systems and self-service portals - Developing cloud-native solutions to enhance claims automation and operational efficiency - Migrating legacy claims systems to modern architectures for scalability and compliance - Collaborating with claims stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions - Mentoring developers to promote technical excellence and continuous learning - Ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture standards, security guidelines, and data governance policies The ideal candidate will have: - 15+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on claims systems and self-service capabilities - Proficiency in Microsoft Technology Stack, SQL Server, and Cosmos DB - Expertise in REST API development, Microservices architecture, and cloud platforms like Azure - Experience with messaging tools such as MQ and Kafka, and CI/CD practices - Familiarity with Spring Batch Framework and ELK stack for logging and data processing Preferred qualifications include a degree in Computer Science or related field, knowledge of insurance regulatory frameworks, and exposure to claims fraud detection and AI/ML-driven claims processing.
