As the Senior Manager of Competitive Intelligence - Oncology within the Customer Data and Analytics (CD&A) department at Amgen, you will play a crucial role in leading intelligence gathering activities to support multiple assets across Amgen's Oncology Business Unit. Reporting directly to the Director of Forecasting and Competitive Intelligence, you will work closely with key collaborators across various teams to develop strategic insights and recommendations based on competitive developments. Your responsibilities will include synthesizing information from multiple sources, managing changing priorities, and developing relationships with global and regional teams to define business problems and integrated analysis plans. You will apply structured problem-solving to collect, analyze, and report competitive intelligence, incorporating primary and secondary data sources to generate meaningful insights. Additionally, you will be responsible for organizing strategic exercises and competitive simulations, facilitating CI collection efforts at major medical conferences, and managing a network of primary data sources. It will be essential for you to present in-depth analyses and summaries of results to key stakeholders, interpret and communicate results effectively, and adhere to Amgen's CI Legal and Ethical Guidelines at all times. To excel in this role, you are expected to have a doctorate, master's, or bachelor's degree combined with relevant experience in Strategy/Management Consulting, Competitive Intelligence, or Equity Research. Preferred qualifications include advanced degrees with a focus on life sciences and business, leadership and stakeholder management experience, and a strong understanding of the global pharma/biotech industry, particularly in oncology. This role supports the eCommerce agenda in the UK by operating with complex analyses, numbers, and documents to lead channel development projects. You will be responsible for being the pulse on eComm business performance, leveraging internal and external eComm data, and working with BUs and finance teams to consolidate performance knowledge and learnings. Additionally, you will support BU teams in preparing high-quality materials, documents, and analyses contributing to ongoing channel development projects. Your role will involve working with BU teams to set KPIs, establish data, build, and distribute ongoing scorecards that drive the right action and have a tangible impact on the business. You will develop customer-specific performance reviews and scorecard tracking, support BU teams with analysis and deep dives for customer conversations and JBP efforts, and carry out ad hoc strategic analysis consolidating multiple data sources for strategic insights. Working in the international matrix is a key aspect, requiring strong communication and soft skills to adjust communications to recipients and different cultures. High proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office apps, as well as analytical skills to interpret numbers and prepare high-level conclusions/recommendations, are essential for this role. Key to success in this position is the ability to cope with uncertainty, ambiguity, fragmented data, and the capability to move things forward with limited inputs. You will be setting the agenda for the deployment of key Channel projects and partnering with BU Teams to define KPIs, data, and tools needed to drive efficiency in the operation and generate more value from the data available in PepsiCo. Qualifications: - 4+ years of experience in strategy/management consulting OR multinational organization working in a sales, commercial, or transformation function - Ability to use BI tools - Internal (e.g., Cockpit, eComm IQ) and external (e.Fundamentals, Similar Web, eConsultancy, Kantar, Nielsen, etc.) - Proficiency in MS Office package, especially Excel & PowerPoint is essential - Very good level of written & spoken English - Strong analytical skills - Experience of Tableau (or other BI tools) and/or data visualization experience can be a plus - Ability to work with virtual teams across multiple geographies & time zones - Proactive approach, driving online sales and customer engagement while taking others with you - Ability to strategically frame opportunities, codify & share learnings across a wide group of stakeholders - Previous eComm experience preferred - Ability to handle multiple work streams simultaneously and to tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment - Good collaborator and influencer, experience working with a breadth of stakeholders and peers across functions and countries in Europe - Ability to extract key messages from complex data and craft a clear narrative, presenting in person and virtually - Good commercial and operational instinct to ensure recommendations are practical and executable - Well-organized, self-sufficient, and proactive with best-in-class time management skills, ability to multitask, set priorities, and plan - Can-do, flexible attitude with resilience, calmly able to respond to rapidly changing business priorities - Proven experience using PowerPoint and ability to produce visually compelling presentations impactful with a senior audience - Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing Power BI for data visualization and business intelligence,
