As a Product Manager (Job title: Senior Product Specialist), you will be responsible for production planning and detailed scheduling (PP/DS) end-to-end scenarios and functionality, covering both Discrete and Process Industries. Your role will involve market research, competitor analysis, and customer requirements management. You will shape the short, mid-term, and long-term strategy, define new requirements, and identify whitespaces for partners. Being a spokesperson for PP/DS in front of customers and partners is also a key aspect of this role. Given that PP/DS is tightly integrated into multiple SAP business applications like production planning (PP), supply chain, manufacturing, and procurement, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with various teams within the SAP organization and beyond. Your responsibilities will include evangelizing PP/DS across internal and external channels, gathering customer feedback, assisting in proof of concept engagements, and sharing market knowledge with the engineering teams. The Product Management team of Planning and Manufacturing in the Private Cloud ERP focuses on inbound and outbound product management for topics including PP/DS, Production Planning (PP), Quality Management (QM), and Production Engineering and Operations (PEO). The team emphasizes end-to-end scenarios embedded in applications and strives to enhance the industry portfolio to align with the latest trends and technologies.
