JOB DESCRIPTION Role Junior Scientist (Research & Development Department) Summary The Junior Scientist (Research & Development Department) role involves managing and handling end-to-end research and development responsibility for the department. The key responsibilities include product development leadership, testing and analysis, general laboratory management and influencing the organization culture. The role will report directly into the Senior Scientist. The role offers an opportunity for rapid growth and will play a key role in the companys growth plans over the next three years. Key Responsibility Area 1.New Product Development / New Project Development : Development of new and enhancement / improvement existing products/projects within the deadlines Innovation in products performance technology Working with project manager and submitting in time boundary Provides R&D product and project updates on daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly basis 2.Testing and Analysis : Executing necessary tests for molasses and Jaggery analysis under in house and NABL scope Tests to be performed for Microbiological analysis and soil testing Chemical analysis of water, spent wash, ethanol and other samples Comparative analysis of competitor enzyme 3.General Laboratory Management: Instrument calibration Maintenance of inward and outward sample records SOP Preparation as per ISO requirements Preparing PPT, COA, MOA & MSDS, Project Reports, Product Sheet Designing Technical Support to Marketing Team Maintenance and Development of R&D Department 4.Organization Culture: Influence a culture of transparency, hard work, innovation, and continuous learning across all the employees in the department. Expertise & skill sets / Key Competency Areas (KCAs): Mandatory skills 1.A logical, independent and innovative mind 2.Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy 3. Subject Matter Expertise in enzyme technology 4. Communication: Extremely strong verbal and written communication skills Ability to connect with and engage with customers, partners, and department team members on a range of topics. Desirable skills: 1. Bio Manufacturing: Understanding of overall biotech and manufacturing sector, industry trends and opportunities . 2. Excellent analytical skills. 3. People management Additional Preferences: 1. Candidates from Belgaum(Belagavi) or willing to relocate will be preferred. 2. Immediate joiners will be given priority.
