You will be a part of a 24/7 IT backup operations team and will have direct responsibility for Backup-related processes. Your role will involve taking a leadership position with customer teams and internal teams to resolve issues, maintain managed Commvault / Zerto backup operations, and restore systems to operational status when needed. Communication between technical teams, customers, and internal departments will be a key aspect to meet customer needs and ensure customer satisfaction. Your specific responsibilities will include maintaining complex Backup Solutions involving Virtual libraries, Disk to Disk Backup systems, physical Tape Libraries, OS, Backup Software, Switch, SAN, or Library components. You will support and troubleshoot backup, recovery, and archiving in a large, complex, and widely distributed environment. Analyzing daily backup failures, identifying root causes, and systematically resolving issues to improve the Backup success rate close to 100% will also be part of your role. You will provide status and progress reports for backup environment-related activities and tasks on a regular basis. Your duties will include planning and implementing best practices for backup solutions, ensuring adequate storage capacity is available, updating documentation for backup procedures, solutions, licensing, and relevant project artifacts, performing configuration changes as per design and build, and upgrading backup software across different versions while ensuring regular patching in the backup environment. **Requirements:** - At least 8 years of Enterprise Commvault, Zerto, and Netbackup troubleshooting or Administration experience - Fundamental knowledge of networks - Understanding of Enterprise Backup solution concepts including job scheduling, automation, reporting, Backup Performance, and basic backup failure troubleshooting - Familiarity with Tape rotation and Tape management on Physical Tape Libraries in Backup environments - Experience with D2d and/or Physical Library Backup Products such as StoreOnce, MSL Tape Libraries, or equivalent - Proficiency in at least one Operating system **Preferable:** - Knowledge of Remote Support and Remote monitoring processes and concepts - Familiarity with Service Now tools - ITIL Certification **Certifications:** - Ideally trained & certified in Veeam, Commvault (or any Enterprise Backup application) - Additional understanding of Data Protector or other enterprise backup software is preferred **Technical Skills:** - In-depth understanding of multiple products in more than one functional area - Strong troubleshooting, technical communication, and written skills - Extensive product knowledge and skills **Interpersonal Skills:** - Self-starter with exceptional problem-solving skills - Strong customer service orientation - Professionalism in all interactions - Achievement-oriented and innovative - Collaborative and diplomatic decision-maker **Benefits:** You will be part of a growing recruitment consulting and services firm, working with an American multinational information technology company based in Spring, Texas.
