Role & responsibilities

Inventory Management: Store in charge would be responsible for overseeing the receipt,

storage, and issuance of raw materials, packing materials, plant and machinery maintenance

materials. This includes maintaining optimal inventory levels to support production schedules

while minimizing excess inventory and the risk of stock outs.

• Prepare and manage Inventory Requisition, Purchase Orders Receipts, Materials Received

Register (MRR), Storage, Dispatch, and Inventory Control.

• Preparation of MRN, MIN (Material Receipt Note, Material Issue Note) through Material

Management Software.

• Executing all the Day-to-Day Stores Function as per the SOP (Standard Operating

Procedure).

• Maintain all store reports in Manual/ ERP Software.
• Maintain store stock register, Assets stock register.
• Prepare monthly store reconciliation statement.
• Maintaining Minimum Stock level of all consumables.
• Maintain FIFO, implement 5S and KANBAN in stores
• Maintaining the proper Method of stock issue, maintaining the various levels of stock.
• Overall responsibility for all Stores functions.
• Stock Control: Responsible for implementing inventory control measures to optimize stock

levels, minimize waste, and prevent stock-outs

• Ordering and Replenishment: Placing orders for new inventory and ensuring timely

replenishment of stock to meet demand

• Supervision: Overseeing the work of store staff, including clerks, assistants, and drivers, and

ensuring that they perform their duties effectively

• Quality Control: Monitoring the quality and condition of products or materials and conducting

quality checks as needed

• Security: Implementing security measures to prevent theft or damage to inventory and

maintaining a safe and secure work environment

• Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of inventory, transactions, and any relevant

data, often using inventory management software

• Storage Conditions: Responsible for ensuring that storage areas are properly maintained at

appropriate temperatures, humidity levels, and other environmental conditions as required by

regulatory standards and product specifications.

• Vendor Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and

vendors for ensuring timely and reliable supply of raw materials and packing materials.

• Ensure compliance with administrative procedures and policies
• Supervision of loading and unloading materials in stores, manage in collecting materials from

transporter go downs, dispatch and delivery of materials.

• Resolves discrepancies in requisitions, purchase orders, and delivery reports by contacting

factory procurement team, vendors or requesters

• Establishes standards and methods for packaging and storing supplies and materials for

identification and retrieval

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma / BE in Mechanical / Electrical Engineering or M. Com/M.Sc.

• 3 to 5 years of Proven experience in a similar role with manufacturing industries

• Strong knowledge in ERP, Excel, MS Word, MS Office, Power Point Presentations

• Strong leadership and team management skills.

• Good negotiation, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills

• Willingness to take responsibility and independence as well as a team-oriented way of

working
